DoubleMoose reached out to us in late fall 2024 to upgrade the sound design for their upcoming game, Abyssus. We recorded and designed organic-sounding weapons, bosses, voices, and blessings, and worked closely with their audio implementer to get the sounds to work just right.
Our goal was to make every weapon sound unique and feel like a distinct entity within the game. To achieve this, we focused on creating rich, organic sounds and collaborated closely throughout the implementation process to ensure everything was seamlessly integrated. For the voices, we took things a step further by developing an entirely new language, T’lamink’a, inspired by the remnants of an ancient civilization within the world of Abyssus.
It was a long and intimate creative process together with DoubleMoose, and we’re thrilled with how the final result turned out!
